Last week

Last week, I enjoyed presenting to a group of 60 older adults. I think that a major takeaway is the idea that we have to "get it" before worrying about forgetting it. As we get older our eye sight and hearing becoming weaker, we don't see and hear things as well as we used to, and we don't "get it" quite often. Then we hesitate to ask for a repetition of the information, we feel self-conscious. This is the major cause of our downfall.......

Don't be bashful, ask for a restatement or a re-showing of the information! This will a huge difference to your assimilation of information, this will be a huge first step to a better memory.

"If you don't get it, how can you forget it!" It was never in your memory banks in the first place.
